Cross-Country at Sharon School

Cross-country running is a vibrant and integral part of the Sharon School sports calendar, taking place during the First Term each year. It plays a key role in building endurance, mental resilience, and a strong sense of personal achievement among our pupils.

Training Schedule

Cross-country is compulsory for all students from Grade 1 through to Grade 7, with structured training to cater to different age groups.

  • Grades 1-2: Weekly Friday morning runs
  • Grades 3-7: 3 times per week training
  • School team eligibility for Grades 3-7
Course Distances

Training distances are carefully tailored to pupils' age categories for optimal development and safety.

  • Under 7 to Under 9: 1.96 km course
  • Under 10 to Under 13: 2.96 km route

Competition Events

Inter-House Cross-Country: Our highly anticipated annual event where all pupils compete for their houses in a spirited and supportive atmosphere.
